For years, clinical trials in achondroplasia have relied heavily on annual growth velocity as the primary outcome measure. However, height alone doesn’t tell the full story of daily physical independence, fatigue, or functional mobility.

At the International Skeletal Dysplasia Society (ISDS) 2026 meeting, we presented key data from the SKY-MOT3 study. This research investigates whether digital outcome measures can reliably capture real-world mobility and functional movement in individuals living with achondroplasia (ACH) and hypochondroplasia (HCH). Utilizing Sysnav’s Syde wearable technology, the study continuously tracks arm and leg movement as participants go about their daily lives.

Longitudinal, real-world data is currently being gathered across an ongoing 12-month study in France, Belgium, and the UK, with additional findings to be shared at future scientific conferences.
