Syde® is an end-to-end digital health technology (DHT) platform developed by Sysnav Healthcare for the continuous, real-world assessment of upper and lower limb motor function in clinical studies. It combines wearable sensors, proprietary algorithms, and clinical operations support into a single, GCP-compliant solution.
One of the variables offered by the Syde platform is SV95C (Stride Velocity 95th Centile). Sysnav Healthcare obtained EMA qualification for this metric in 2023, making it the first digital endpoint qualified as a primary endpoint for clinical trials.
Patients wear lightweight sensors on their wrists and/or ankles during daily activities. Each night, sensors are placed on
a docking station for passive data transfer and charging. Sysnav’s proprietary algorithms then process this data into
clinical variables, ready for investigator review.
In real life, the Syde® sensors continuously record data during the day while the patient wears them.
At night, they are placed on their docking station for battery charging and data uploading.
Beyond the EMA-qualified SV95C, the Syde platform offers a wide range of digital variables to meet specific research objectives across various pathologies, depending on the clinical concepts of interest relevant to your study.
